Advisory Committee
The Advisory Committee shall have authority at any time to investigate the books, accounts and management of any department of the Town, and the books and accounts of all departments and officers of the town shall be open to the inspection of the Committee and of any person employed by it.

Affordable Housing Trust Fund Committee
The Affordable Housing Trust Fund Committee oversees a number of duties relating to providing affordable housing to the community.

American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Committee
The Committee shall provide recommendations to the Select Board on the expenditure of approximately $3,051,241 in ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act of 2021) funding;

Board of Assessors
The Southborough Assessors Office along with the Board of Assessors is responsible for tax administration for the entire Town of Southborough.

Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds
The Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds, consisting of three persons shall have the management of all trust funds given or bequeathed for the benefit of the Town or the inhabitants thereof unless the donor in making the gift or bequest shall otherwise provide.

Board of Health
The Southborough Board of Health is run by a three member elected board and three staff members. Each board member serves a three-year term.

Board of Trustees Southborough Library
The Board of Trustees of the Southborough Library is a six-member elected committee.

Cable Television Committee
The purpose of the Committee is to advise the Selectmen on the licensing and operation of cable television in the town.

Capital Improvement & Planning Committee
The Capital Planning and Improvement Committee will be responsible for creating and maintaining a rolling ten-year Capital Plan across all government entities and will ensure consistent interpretation and execution of that plan.

Community Center Exploration Committee
The Community Center Exploration Committee (“CC Committee”) shall be an ad-hoc committee made up of seven members, all appointed by the Board of Selectmen.

Community Preservation Committee
The Community Preservation Committee shall study the needs, possibilities, and resources of the Town regarding community preservation.

Conservation Commission
The Conservation Commission is the official local authority specifically charged with the protection of Southborough’s natural resources.

Council on Aging
The mission of the Council on Aging is to advance the well-being of the senior population in the town of Southborough through policy making, implementation of services and advocacy.

Deed Research Subcommittee
The charge of this subcommittee is to finalize the Deed Research Project and review for acceptance the report produced through services contracted as an add-on to the Deed Research Project produced by the Massachusetts Audubon Society as contracted through the Southborough Planning Board on June 24, 2016.

Economic Development Committee
The mission of the Southborough Economic Development Committee (EDC) is to assist in stabilizing residential taxes through the growth of the Town’s commercial and industrial tax base while preserving the character and charm of Southborough.

Emergency Planning Committee
The Southborough Emergency Planning Committee (SEPC) is an aspect of the Southborough Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) charged with all-hazards emergency planning for the Town of Southborough.

Golf Course Committee
The Golf Course Committee shall manage the day-to-day relationship with the current management company.

Historical Commission
The Historical Commission was established in July 1969, when the town voted at the 1969 Annual Town Meeting to accept the provisions of MGL c. 40, Section 8D, Establishment of Historical Commission.

Main Street Design Working Group
The charge of the Main Street Working Group is to provide assistance to the Public Works Superintendent, as needed, during the construction of the Main Street project.

Master Plan Committee - Dissolved
The Planning Board is preparing to update the current Master Plan, which was completed in 2008. A Master Plan provides a basis for future decision making in the Town.

Master Plan Implementation Committee
The Master Plan Implementation Committee “MPIC” will meet with each board and committee, every six months, and review progress on their assigned recommendations.

Metropolitan Area Planning Council
The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is the regional planning agency serving the people who live and work in the 101 cities and towns of Metropolitan Boston.

MetroWest Regional Collaborative
The MetroWest Regional Collaborative (MWRC) serves the MetroWest region of Eastern Massachusetts, from I-95 to I-495 along the Route 9 corridor.

MetroWest Regional Transit Authority
The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) is a regional public transit authority in the state of Massachusetts providing bus and paratransit service to eleven communities in the Boston MetroWest.

Municipal Technology Committee
The Municipal Technology Committee (MTC) shall work to ensure that all Town Entities utilize technology in a common, effective, and cost-effective manner for the benefit of the Town, its operations, and its residents.
