About the Role:

The Southborough Fire Department is now accepting applications for Entry-Level Firefighter positions. This is a full-time opportunity to serve your community through emergency medical services, firefighting, rescue operations, and public safety education.

We are looking for motivated, team-oriented individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow in a professional fire and EMS environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license
• Current Massachusetts EMT-B certification (EMT-P preferred)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test, background check, psychological evaluation, and medical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• Massachusetts Paramedic certification (or active enrollment in a program)
• Firefighter I/II certification 
• Previous fire/EMS experience
• Local residency a plus

Responsibilities Include:

• Fire suppression and rescue operations
• Providing pre-hospital emergency medical care
• Operating and maintaining fire apparatus and equipment
• Participating in public fire education and fire prevention
• Station duties and training
