About Us

Welcome to the Southborough Police Department's Official Website.

The Southborough Police Department serves the community of Southborough, Massachusetts, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We deliver police services to the Town of Southborough in a variety of ways. You may see an officer patrolling the town in a black and white patrol car; an officer walking around downtown on foot; or an officer riding a bicycle or motorcycle throughout the town.

You may see one of our officers speaking to a resident or business owner about safety tips or crime prevention for their neighborhood or business. You can call and talk to one of our Public Safety Dispatchers about an issue, a request, or to report a crime over the phone.

The Southborough Police Department currently employs 21 sworn Officers of all ranks. There are 31 employees in total (sworn and professional staff), and our staff consists of 1 Chief, 1 Lieutenant, 5 Sergeants, 1 Detective, and 13 Patrol Officers. Members of the SPD are an educated group; many holding degrees in a number of disciplines.

A majority of SPD members are in the ongoing process of career development, and attend both mandated trainings as well as those that are in areas of his/her interest. All are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence; a never-ending process that can be achieved only with teamwork, and the dedication of all the officers and civilian personnel of the Southborough Police Department.
